military grade rubber
Military Specification O-Rings and Seals
The development and manufacturing of military grade rubber for military and aerospace use has continued over the past 30 years at Columbia Engineered Rubber. As technology changes so does our designs and manufacturing methods for producing military grade rubber o rings, seals, tubes and other molded rubber products. Columbia offers many types of seals and sealing devices that meet the numerous military rubber specifications, ensuring our compounds will withstand the aggressive environments they will endure. Seals used in Aerospace and defense applications are commonly exposed to extreme heat and cold. Seal performance is particularly affected by these drastic temperature variations. Columbia's military compounds can be used in applications with continuous service temperatures as low as -60ºF and as high as 401ºF. See chart below for military specifications and corresponding elastomers.
